Nars Narsissist Unfiltered Cheek Palette Review & Swatches

 

Hi there lovies, my awesome blog readers, and followers! I am doing well, staying busy this week, and getting things accomplished, and checked off my to do list, which is always good, and refreshing, I feel like I am getting back into the swing of things, and also finding time to relax, and do things for me! I hope you are all doing good, and having a good day! 

Today I have a beautiful blush palette from Nars cosmetics for you, did I mention beautiful, oh and it’s pink, obviously it was a must have for me! The colors are so pretty, and the perfect blush shades for me, and my skin tone. This palette comes in two different color options unfiltered I and unfiltered II, I chose the pink of course, which is the unfiltered II. The colors I felt were meant for me, simply perfect! I am sure others, or some of you may prefer the first one, and that one is beautiful as well, I would be happy to have either that’s for sure. I am a huge fan of Nars cosmetics, they are one of my favorite high end brands, and have been for years. This blush palette contains six gorgeous face powders to sculpt, shape, add color, and luminosity to your face, and give you the glow, and shine from within. These blushes are made up of combination of high impact shimmer, and matte shades these curated, limited edition palettes contain a mix of warm and cool shades that can be mixed and matched to create a customized look! The unfiltered II, has a great combination of shades that you can mix, and blend together to get the perfect blush shade for you. I think that this one is the “safe” palette, and not to bold, or wild, yet the pigmentation, and buildable blush ability is still there. Most of these shades are new, and limited edition colors to this palette, but hopefully we will see them in the future possibly as individuals. I love the way these shades give my cheeks the perfect flush of color, and last all day. I defiantly recommend getting this palette, or one of these, it’s also an amazing value for the price of $59, these pan sizes are close to full size! Have you tried any Nars cosmetics blushes? I can’t get enough, my favorite cult favorite is Orgasm, the shades in this palette are various colors of that, but different, I tend to gravitate to the same colors, especially for blush! Kiko Milano Makeup/ Beauty Haul Review

Hello, hello lovies!! I am so glad that everyone is has enjoyed yesterday’s post about my goodwill shopping haul! I wasn’t sure if it would be a hit or a dud, and I am happy to report it’s been a hit, and you all are loving it, so thank you so much! I never know when I introduce a new series on the blog if it will be loved, or hated. I love doing it, and it’s so fun for me, so I am happy to post my finds, and share it with you all! I hope you are all having a fantastic start to your week, and hey, maybe even that post gave you inspiration to do some thrift/ goodwill shopping of your own! You are most likely here because you saw the title of this blog, and maybe you were wondering about it, I felt the same way when I was visiting Las Vegas, and was walking in the fashion show mall, and stopped in my tracks when I saw this store full of makeup! I also knew I have seen their products, and have heard great things about them, just there was never a store close by me at all, so of course I had to go in, and shop for some makeup!! Let me tell you, the first table I came across was full, I mean full of sale items from their recently released holiday collection. I seriously couldn’t contain my excitement, it’s like a kid in a candy store, but a woman in a makeup store, lol! So excited I was, especially that the entire collection was in stock, and everything was 50% off, wait what? Yep, 50% off at least!! I died right there on the spot, lol kidding, but really you can imagine my excitement, and joy! So I obviously started swatching, and was amazed at the pigmentation, and quality of the products. Who knew how great these were? I sure didn’t, but I was so glad that I stumbled across the kiko milano store my gosh, yes!! I pretty much wanted it all, ha ha! 

Let’s check out what I got in beautiful Las Vegas! First though, this brand is extremely popular on instagram, but isn’t very well known, or highly talked about in the US. It is an italian professional cosmetics brand that started in 1997, and they sell, and have stores in many countries, and most recently the US. Yeah for being a worldwide cosmetics brand, and company! The packaging is such high quality, it’s almost to good to be true, I really mean that, I was amazed, it’s heavy, durable, and beautiful, it truly feels luxurious, and very high end. I knew that I had to splurge because the holiday collection was simply beautiful, it drew me right in, and it was on sale, I couldn’t resist! The makeup junkie in me was happily smiling! I’m excited to share with you what I got, let’s check out my kiko milano makeup haul! 

My favorite thing from this haul is the eyeshadow palette, the pigmentation is excellent, the formula is silky smooth, and blends out with perfection. This palette offers the perfect color range, and the pan sizes are large, and will last a long time. I created several looks using only this palette, the shadows are so buttery, and last all day on my oily lids. The entire holiday collection is stunning, I am so glad that I was able to get it, and can’t wait to use it more, and you better believe it next time I am in Las Vegas I will be stopping in to buy more to add to my collection! I highly recommend checking this brand out, you will not be disappointed!!! 

 

Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic Palette Review

Hello lovies!! Welcome to the blog today! I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your day. I am literally sitting in Las Vegas at the Bellagio writing this blog. I have been so busy lately, and only was able to get 2 blogs up last week, so I wanted to start this week off fresh while I had a little bit of downtime today. I am here for work/vacation. I am a nanny for twins, and we go to vegas about every 6 months together, I am very lucky 🙂 It’s been a great trip so far, and I did a lot of shopping yesterday, and of course had to go to both, yes both sephora’s here in Las Vegas on the strip. OMG they were amazing, and one (the main one) was HUGE, I was in makeup heaven!!! These stores carry much higher brands then any of the sephora’s where I live, I pretty much wanted everything lol! Barely made it out of there ha ha! Anyways, I am enjoying my time here in Las Vegas so much, way better than the ice, and snow storm we are having back home, that’s for sure! I was so excited to swatch, and play with this beautiful palette in store, I have been looking forward to this one ever since I saw the first pictures! What a show stopper, it’s so beautiful, I love, and am obsessed with everything holographic as most of you may already know, so I knew this one had to be mine! I was so happy I was able to get it! In store I put it over my eyeshadow look, and it was seriously stunning, and lasted all day, walking around on the strip, so I have definitely tested the wear time, and it lasts!

Let’s check out this amazing palette by Kat Von D! That packaging though, omg the holographic is so pretty, I’m in love, seriously! I do want to mention that the packaging is white, and shiny, and can easily be wiped clean, but it will get very dirty I am sure. The second you dip your brush in, it makes a bit of a mess on the black surrounding the shadows, which is a bummer, but I guess that’s just how it is with black packaging. Now, let’s talk about the amount of product you get in each pan, the small amount is a bit disappointing, but because these are meant for eyeshadow toppers, and highlighters, it shouldn’t be an issue, or will you need to use a lot of product. The 4 colors are beautiful, and very iridescent, and gives a really cool effect! I definetly recommend this beautiful palette! You can purchase it exclusively at Sephora, and the Kat Von D website.

Wet n Wild Highlighters Review & Swatches

Hello there lovies, happy day after Thanksgiving, otherwise known as black Friday! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and a special time with their loved ones, I sure did, and cherish the memories, and time my family, and I spend together so much that’s for sure! I am so incredibly thankful for my family, I don’t say it enough, but I am, and love them all very much, I am so lucky to have them!

Today I am sharing with you some amazing drugstore, affordable highlighters! These beauties are from Wet n Wild, and I am sure you have seen them, and heard of them before, because they are highly buzzed in the beauty world, and they are also hard to get your hands on as well, but SO worth it!! These highlighters are so reasonably priced, it’s amazing, the pan size is surprisingly large as well, which for the price of $3.99 and $2.99 is simply incredible! I knew I had to have them when I saw swatches, so I placed an order online for a lot of the stardust & sequins collection (more coming soon in a seperate blog) so that I wouldn’t have to search for them in store, especially the impossible to find coveted gold bar! These are all must haves, and was so excited to receive them all. I couldn’t wait to swatch them, and really start playing with them! I will admit these are my first wet n wild products, ya I know say what? Yes, as I have mentioned before, I am just now getting into more drugstore, more affordable products, as typically I am a high end beauty makeup kind of girl, but using these have really made me excited to try more drugstore products, and makeup that’s for sure! These highlighters are so smooth, and buttery, and truly compare to the high end highlighters, they remind me a lot of becca, which for this price, is great right? They so gorgeous, and I highly recommend them! The gold bar is definitely something you have to search for in stores, I have seen it at Rite Aid, and Walgreens, may the odds forever be in your favor in finding it, but I think it is sold out right now on the wet n wild website, but the other two highlighters are still available, as of right now. I highly recommend these, please let me know if you are able to find the gold bar, I’d love to hear! They are definitely popular, and for good reason!

Mac Cosmetics Extra Dimension Skinfinish Review “Soft frost”

Hello there all my beautiful lovies! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I can’t wait for family time, and delicious food! Let the memories begin! I hope all of you are are just as excited as I am for Thanksgiving! These gorgeous highlighters from mac cosmetics were on my wish list since I saw the very first pictures of them on instagram. I love the extra dimension skinfinish formula, and this color in particular I knew I had to have, it was right up my alley, and SO beautiful, clearly so I can channel my inner mermaid 🙂 I will admit, I am obsessed with anything luminous, and pearly, especially makeup! Are you with me on that? Or do you not really care about it? It’s the holographic feel that attracts me every time, I just am a fan of shimmer, opalescence, and prismatic most likely because the little mermaid was my favorite movie growing up, well duh! Anyways, I knew I had to have at least this one, the other colors are very pretty as well, but this one is my favorite! P.S. the pictures don’t do justice,  you really have to see the reflection in person, and swatch it for yourself, you will be like, “throw it in the bag”, or I like to say….. “done and done” LOL! The pigmentation, and lasting power is superb, just what you would expect from a mac cosmetics product. It’s smooth, and very buttery, and applies beautifully to the cheeks. It has definitely become one of my favorite highlighters, besides becca’s champagne pop of course! I love it, definitely highly suggest at least purchasing one!

EOS Shimmer Lip Balm New, and loving it!

Hello everyone, happy Wednesday, and happy hump day, I hope everyone is having a great week so far. I keep telling myself to stay up to date, and yes I keep buying new makeup, and beauty products, so now I have a ton of catching up to do. The holiday collections are all releasing, so it’s pretty fun, and exciting!! I LOVE holiday makeup sets, I can’t resist, as I’m sure many of you can’t as well, oh the temptation!! 

EOS is a great drugstore lip balm brand, you may know of them, they are pretty darn popular. I have about 20 of them so far, and really didn’t need more, but how can I resist the new shimmer ones? I can’t, and I wanted to review them for you all as well. They are packed with a beautiful shimmer, that adds the perfect sparkle to your lips, okay my lips, and I can’t get enough of them, I really have been loving them so far! I have always been a lip product kind of gal, something about all the different types of lip products, that give so many different looks that I can’t resist!! Lips are in constant need of attention, so they are always needing something on them! my favorite lip products, or type has always been lipgloss, I love the gloss look, funny fact when matte lips were all the rage, okay they still are, lol, I was like what??? NO!!! lol, funny I know, I am getting more used to them, and do wear the look on occasional, although, still not my favorite. I also have always loved shimmer, ever since I was a little girl, my lips had to be shimmery, or sparkly, thanks bonne bell lipsmack, the addiction started young!! Anyways, with living in the pacific northwest the weather can change so drastically from day to day, so my lip products change as well, and they change often, which I don’t mind 🙂 

My Review: 

I love EOS, as a brand, and their lip balms. I love how the ingredients are quality, and good for your lips, and the environment as well. They smell amazing, and truly are moisturizing for your lips. The shimmer I was really excited about because I already love the regular eos, and I have a ton of them, all different scents/ flavors. The clear balm gives the perfect amount of moisture, and they glide on effortlessly, the shape of the balm is a great idea, no wonder why so many other brands try and copy the design! I love these new shimmer balms, they add a slight sparkle, and the pink one adds a tiny amount of pink without being overbearing, which is nice. The scents are nice as well, sweet, but not floral. I really like the new packaging on these as well, it makes them feel more fancy. The price on these are around $2 more each, but I feel it’s very worth the price increase for what your getting!  I recommend these for sure, they work great, and will be great to have for the coming winter months, and the holidays! Would make a great stocking stuffer!

Influenster Vox Box Review: Loreal Paris

Hello there everyone, guys, and gals, I hope everyone is doing well, and having a great summer thus far! As I am writing this I am watching a sweet little baby sleep in his swing, so precious, babies are my heart, and soul I tell ya, I can’t get enough, and am so incredibly lucky that I get to do what I do, and also have hobbies, like blogging as well. I am privileged to be a blogger for influenster, and was lucky enough to receive the loreal paris vox box for review! Loreal has always been my favorite drug store brand, so this was perfect for me! Although, I do know that there are some other high end brand vox boxes floating around, and really wish that I was able to get one of those, but that’s okay, I do love loreal, and will definitely use them as well! Loreal products never disappoint, and are always up to standard of high end products. Yes, I am aware what brands loreal as a company owns, I think that is high they are always of high quality, but at drug store prices, either way it’s amazing that’s for sure, everything I have ever tried, I have loved, and it makes me want to try other products from the brand. 

Okay, a quick disclaimer>>>> Influenster sent these products to review, free to me for my opinion, to try out, and test on behalf of loreal paris. I will be providing my honest opinion on each product, and how I thought they performed, etc. My opinions are my own. 

What I received in my Loreal paris vox box:

Color rich eye shadow in *200 Paris Beach*

Review: 

This color was unfortunately not the best. It looks okay in the pan, but it is very matte white, with no shimmer, it swatches, and applies very chalky, and not smooth at all. I used this as an eyeshadow base color before applying other shadows on top, and it worked fine for this, but my eyeshadows didn’t last all day as I expected. I don’t think this would work as an brow bone highlight either, because it is so matte, I like shimmer personally. I do appreciate the pan size of the shadow. 

Color rich eye shadow in *207 Pain Au Chocolat* 

This shadow was a dream! I have no idea how they can vary so much, yet be the same formula, this color is absolutely beautiful both swatched, and on the lids. Simply stunning, the pigmentation, and texture of the eyeshadow is completely different from the above color, so interesting. It is so buttery, and soft, and blends like butter! The color is a pretty rose gold, with a lot of shimmer, which I love! Definitely a must have color, so glad I got it, and this stayed on my eyelids all day without creasing! 

Voluminous Original Mascara in *310 Blackest Black*

I have heard amazing things about this mascara, and have always wanted to try it, so I was very glad to receive it, and the lash primer inside the vox box! This mascara really is well known for a reason, it adds so much volume, and definition to your lashes, without clumping! The formula is perfect with just one coat, and separates the lashes without much effort. I definitely needed a mascara like this to add definition, and volume, because my eye lashes are so thin, and short. This mascara makes a huge difference, especially when used with the eye lash primer. Truly gives you the va va voom beautiful lashes affect without looking clumpy. 

Voluminous Lash Primer in *300 White Primer*

Everyone needs this eye lash primer!! This stuff is a miracle, seriously it is a game changer in the way that I apply my mascara now! I can’t believe I waited so long to give it a try. You add the primer to your lashes prior to added mascara, and it helps build volume, and thicken each individual lash adding tons of volume, and separates each eye lash with ease, so it’s easier to apply your mascara over it. It is a great addition to your lash routine, and worth the extra step!

Infallible Original Never Fail Eyeliner in *511 Black Noir*

Okay, I will admit I am picky with eyeliners, they have to be very pigmented, and glide on my eyelids with ease. This one did to my surprise!! The liner is very smooth, and silky, kind of a no tug, or pulling eyeliner in my opinion. It didn’t hurt or make my eyes water, which is always a bonus for me. It is also very black, and richly pigmented. The liner applied nice, and stayed all day as well. I love anything from the infallible line I tell ya, I want it all! 

Brow Stylist Prep & Shape Pro Kit in *386 Light To Medium* 

I have never been huge on brow products, I think it’s not as important as everyone makes it out to be, I am more of a natural brow gal, and when I do my brows, I like them to be light with just a thin coat of color to define them, and make them more recognizable, because they are so thin. This kit was a great all in one, the brow stylist did everything I was looking for, the colors matched well, and they made my eyebrows stay in place all day, and look great, I love the ease of having it as an all in one product! 

This was a great vox box from influenster. Loreal will remain one of my favorite brands from the drug store, heck even out of the drugstore! I am so lucky to have received these great products from Loreal to try out, I really feel that I wouldn’t have given them a try, but am so glad that I got the opportunity to, because now I have more favorite products, that are not only affordable, but work as well as high end in my opinion as well. Walmart Summer Beauty Box

Hello there loves! I hope you are all having a happy Friday, and end to your weekend/ start of your weekend!! Oh how I love weekends, and time to relax I tell ya, especially in the summer! I got my walmart beauty box a few weeks ago, and am now sitting down to review it. As you may know walmart beauty box is a quarterly subscription box that comes every season, or four times a year. The box is priced at $5 per box, but basically they only charge for shipping, so the samples in the box are technically free, and there is nothing better than free right? Nope 🙂 It’s a great way to sample new products, or products that they are trying to push out on the market at their stores right now, there is always coupons included in the box as well, I wanted to mention, but I don’t include them in the picture, just in case someone wants to somehow copy them. I love trying new products, especially when they are affordable, and can easily be found at my walmart, it’s so fun, then if I like it, I can easily use a coupon if they included one, and purchase it! It’s super easy, and very smart for walmart to do these boxes! 

This summer box is one of the better ones I have received, I have been subscribed for about a year and a half now, and really like everything in the box this time, and I know I will use everything too! This summer box has a great variety, and it has everything for a summer trip, literally even toothpaste! Awesome right? Okay, so you agree it’s a pretty great box right? Especially for $5! My favorite thing in the box this season was the St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I have always loved this face scrub, it’s the perfect amount of scrub, and texture, it gets the deep down clean that I look for in a scrub. I also really love the sample of Sally Hansen’s airbrush legs, I love using this in the summer, and there is a really good amount in the sample tube, enough for both of my legs so that was perfect. I have a tan now yeah! There is nothing better than being tan to me for some reason lol! My skin just looks better 🙂 The Incoco nail art is cute as well, just a bit to young for my 35 year old self, but they do look fun, and cute, I will find a way to try them out, and see how they work. All in all, a great box, I can’t wait to see what is in the fall walmart beauty box!!!!

 

 

Birchbox June Review (BEST BOX EVER)

Hi there everyone, happy Saturday! Okay, I lied, I am writing this while working at 11 pm Friday night, but hey, it will post tomorrow, so happy weekend ladies!! I just started watching a really great documentary called poverty Inc. very, very interesting so far, you should definitely check it out, it just came out on netflix! Sure makes me feel so very grateful that’s for sure. Okay, sorry to be a downer there, just thought I would share what I was doing right at this very moment, I think little personal peeks into each other’s lives makes our blogging community grow, and become closer 🙂

I hope everyone has had a great week too, I literally just received my birchbox for June yesterday! I knew it was going to be a good one, as birchbox has been really killing it lately with their boxes, my goodness, yeeessss! I was excited to get it, I decided to choose the random box this month, and just hoped for the best, and to my surprise, it was my best box ever, no joke! As soon as I opened the box, and oh, can we even talk about how cute the box is?! SO so cute, I love the designs lately, I don’t know if everyone keeps their boxes, but I love collecting them, and putting little things in them, the cuteness factor really helps me to stay organized too! See? I told you it was an amazing box this month!! I almost cried, it literally had 4 of my favorite, and most wanted items!! Simply amazing. I already love, and am obsessed with the ardency inn modster smooth ride supercharged eyeliner. I have 4 colors, it is the most smooth, and highly pigmented eyeliner I have ever tried, it’s a must have! I also really wanted to try the benefit gimme brow volumizing fiber gel, how cute is that packaging? omg cute right? Everything is good sized, and I will definitely use!!! The Laura Geller New York Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator (I got the color gilded honey) I literally have been wanting this since it came out, YESSSSS, thank you birchbox! I love everything in my box this month, and birchbox just keeps getting better, and better, I have been subscribed for 2 years now, can’t believe it!
