Mac Cosmetics “Fruity Juicy” Pearlmatte Face Powder Review

Hello hello lovies! Welcome to the blog today, I am pre writing blogs, but I am writing this, and dreaming of where I will be in a few days, yep, I will be laying poolside in Las Vegas, I am so excited to be going again so soon, yeah for pool, and Vegas time. It’s only been a month since I was there, but it is calling my name again, so I am pre posting because as this is posted I will be at the pool on Monday morning, yeah! It’s okay really, you can be jealous!! This is the perfect blog post for the moment that’s for sure, but honestly I am not bringing it, I am to scared of it getting broken!! LOL, for real though! Anyone who knows me, knows I will always be a beach girl, I was raised in Florida, now living in Oregon, yep, opposite coast, still a beach girl, always will be. I have always loved hibiscus flowers, have a tattoo on my foot, because I am that in love with them!! I grew up with hibiscus flower bushes in my front, and back yard. I am so excited to see them by the pool at the belliagio, we always stay there, and there is hibiscus bushes by the pool, I am really hoping that they are blooming right now!! Anyways yes, I truly love them, so when I saw sneak peeks, I freaked out, I mean this was MADE for me. I actually a few years ago, bought on eBay the “surf baby” collection highlighter/blush that was brand new in the box, and I was so lucky to have it, as I am definitely a mac collector, I still haven’t ever used it lol, with that collection the gold hibiscus flower is just a spray over sadly, so I haven’t wanted to use it. This powder however, is not a spray over, it’s actually indented product of different colors in the compact, which is awesome! I love the packaging on this as well, it’s so tropical, bright, and beautiful, I also love the shiny black as well, although, I do feel like they could’ve done better, like have bright coral, or pink packaging, but that’s okay, I still love it. This powder is a pearlmatte finish, and is the perfect combination when swirled together, my darn ocd makes it very hard for me to mess up the beautiful hibiscus flower design, so the photo below of the swatch isn’t mine, just to let you know. There are many other products to the collection as well, this was just the only thing that I HAD to have, so it was the only piece from the collection that I purchased from Nordstrom. It retails at $33, which is typical of a normal mac cosmetics facial powder. The pan size is large, and it will last for a long time. The collection is called fruity juicy collection, most of the collection is still available online, and in stores, but it is selling out quickly, so I would act quickly if you want anything! Pixi by Petra Mist Collection Haul & Review #MultiMisting

Hi there lovies!! Happy Monday, I hope you are all doing well, and had a good weekend, and start to your week this week! I am super excited this week, because I took a little break, not sure how time flew by so fast, but it did, it really wasn’t a planned break, but I guess it happened! I had a great trip to Las Vegas, and it was amazing as usual, I am also going back in less then a month, yeah again! Life just gets busy sometimes, but need to be better about making blogging a priority! Anyways, today’s blog is a good one!! I am reviewing the Pixi by Petra Mists, Pixi by Petra was kind enough to send these beauties to me in PR to try out, and I am obsessed with everything Pixi, so I was excited to get to try out all the different formula mists, and for different uses! Gosh, I love these all, but I am going to focus my review on the Pixi by Petra makeup fixing mist, otherwise it would take me forever to review them all, lol! So let’s jump right into the review, I hope you all enjoy! 

Okay, let me just say that I have never tried a Pixi by Petra product that I didn’t love, this brand is what I call a high end drugstore brand. Yes it is a drugstore brand technically, but it is of higher quality, and are amazing products! This is available at Target, and Target.com, and on the Pixi by Petra website for $15, which isn’t super cheap, but I feel like for the price, you are getting a good amount of product! These are 2.70 ounces, which will last for a while, which is awesome! I also really love, and enjoy the way it pumps, and sprays. The mist is literally a mist, it is gentle, yet, sprays the right amount of mist to work! It makes my skin feel refreshed, and is gentle enough to use daily to set your makeup. It doesn’t spray out in heavy droplets, and won’t leave spots on your face, or ruin your makeup thankfully. This is a great way to set any beautiful makeup look, or just to use without makeup, if you need a refreshing, or if it’s a hot, and sweaty day. All of the Pixi by Petra sprays are for multiple uses, and can provide a variety of uses, to suit your needs. I definitely recommend trying any of these mists out, but especially the makeup fixing mist, as I really enjoyed the way that it worked, and fyi, I have acne prone, oily skin, so I do tend to get oily through out the day, and need my makeup to be refreshed, so it’s not cakey, and oily looking, this is the perfect spray for that, and is perfect for on the go! Hello, hello my beautiful lovies!! I hope you are all having a great Monday, and an amazing start to your day!! Today’s blog is a pretty one, thank you for joining me, and checking out my review. I am reviewing this Pixi by Petra, we are just going to refer to it as Pixi from now on in the blog just to make it easier on myself, lol. I was excited that I received this as PR from Pixi, they are the best, and I love all of their amazing products!! I really love getting packages from them, and feel very lucky! They sent me this beautifully cute 3 piece beauty kit, it is available at Target, and online at Pixi by Petra. This kit retails for $22.00, this kit is available in 2 different options, and collections, today I am reviewing the hello! Rose beauty kit, and it is part of their new collection, which is perfect for Spring! The kit was sent with real mini rose petals, their PR packages are the best, they really make an effort for packaging, and presentation! Opening the packaging it smelt like roses, such a bonus! This kit is perfect for any rose lover, the colors in the kit are so pretty, and pink, yet delicate, and will suite many skin tones, because of the light colors. I literally haven’t found a product that I don’t love from Pixi, they are hands down my favorite drugstore (high end drugstore) brand, I have been using, and loving their products for years!! This little kit is perfect for someone who wants to try out their products, without spending to much, etc. My favorite thing in this kit is the lip gloss, it’s the most beautiful shade of pink, it’s not to bright, or overpowering, it’s the perfect nude mauve, not sticky on the lips, and has a good wear time, and smells sweet, and glides on the lips effortlessly. I love this lip gloss, I will be getting it in the full size! I also really love the blush duo, the pink is subtle, and easily blendable into the skin, the highlight side of the duo is the same, and perfect for highlighting under the brow bone, or the cheeks, I used it for both, and love the color, and touch of bling it provides! This 3 piece beauty kit is defintely worth a try, as I am sure you will find a favorite, and fall in love with Pixi by Petra!

OMG so this just happened today, I feel like I have been waiting forever for this collection to launch from Tarte Cosmetics, maybe it really wasn’t forever, but it sure felt like it, it must because I KNEW I had to have it all, this was right up my alley, and literally was calling my name, “Come and buy me Renee, it’s so magical, and it’s everything you’ve ever dreamed of” yep, that’s it, lol! How many of you all did this collection say the same to? I mean holographic, magical, glitter, glam, and beautiful all wrapped in a collection by one of my favorite beauty/makeup brands, yes please, can I get a hell yes? lol! So, the purpose of this post is to share photos, and links, so you can also get your hands on this collection! It just launched today on the Tarte Cosmetics website, and will be launching at Sephora (app only) on Friday March 17th, and Ulta I am not sure when, also I am not sure of when this collection will be launching in stores. I can keep this post updated though 🙂 Okay, this collection is absolutely stunning!! Influenster Voxbox Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Review

 

Hello my lovies!! How are you all doing today? Happy Wednesday to all of you!! I hope your are all having a great start to your week!! This week is a slower week for me with work, so it will be nice to have the break, and have the opportunity to catch up on other stuff that needs to be taken care of, and on blogs, heck, maybe this week I will make a youtube video even, okay probably next week, or this weekend, and edit it, since I need to make one for this post anyways for influenster! This review is all about Influenster, and Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder! Laura Mercier is my all time favorite brand for translucent setting powders!!! They are launching more colors other then translucent, and influenster gave me the opportunity to test it out first for free, and completely complimentary!! I love influenster!! I was a little worried about this box though because I thought it was only introducing the new darker (for deeper/darker skin tones) powder, I was very happy that it was a box for multiple ones, and skin tones!!  I was excited that I got the translucent, because I was running low on my other one, and was going to purchase it anyways, and the powder puff, so this was perfect that I got into this one! Yeah for awesome, and high end Influenster voxbox’s finally! I have been getting so many drugstore ones, I was wondering if I was ever going to get a good high end brand one to review! Glad I did!! Anyways if you don’t know about Influenster, you definitely should, it’s an amazing review website that you join, and the more active you are on social media, and on the site, the more campaigns you will receive. I have gotten about 10 so far, and love them!! I definitely recommend joining, if you would like an invitation, I would be happy to send you one, just leave your email in the comments! My Review:

As I mentioned above, Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder is my all time favorite setting powder! I use it for setting my concealer under my eyes, and all over setting face powder. It works great, and leaves my skin looking flawless, without being cakey, and overly powdery. A little bit goes a long way with this product, and you do get a good amount, you get 1 oz. in the full size. It retails at $38, which is somewhat pricey for the amount of product, but it’s worth the price, and does seem to last a long time. This is available for purchase at where Laura Mercier products are sold like, Nordstrom, Sephora, etc. The setting powder that they are launching, and what this campaign is for is the colored translucent powders, as they are brand new to the Laura Mercer translucent loose setting powder family! Now it will perfect for many different skin tones. I do have oily skin, and a light complexion so I use the regular current translucent shade. This powder has a silky texture, smooth, and doesn’t sit into fine lines, and wrinkles, or my large pores. It lasts all day without needing a touch up, which is important for someone who is as busy as I am!! I love this powder, and definitely recommend it! Urban Decay Afterdark Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Hello lovies, and welcome to the blog today!! I hope you are all doing well, and happy for a new start to your week!! Happy Monday, oh Monday’s I tell ya, are never any fun, especially after a holiday weekend, who’s with me on that?? 🙂 I have a fun, bright, excited eyeshadow for you today, it’s the afterdark palette from Urban Decay! My gosh, it was a must have for me, I HAD to have it, even though I own some of the colors individually, lol, I love these bold jewel tones, they were right up my alley!! The packaging also drew me, it is STUNNING!! I am a package junkie for sure, especially when it’s holographic, or iridescent! I seriously can’t help myself! I knew this was more of a collectors piece then practical, but that’s okay, a reason why I love it! I was able to find this in store at Sephora inside JCPenny, I feel like my local store has a lot of sold out, or almost sold out items for some reason or another, so that’s awesome, I guess I just got lucky! Let me tell you, I am glad that I got it, the colors, and pigmentation are beautiful, as you can see in the swatches! My favorite color in the palette is LOUNGE, which I already own the full size individual of, so now I just have a back up! It is so versatile, and can be used alone, as a topper, or blended with other colors, to give a sultry look. Every shade in this palette, the formula is exactly what is expected of urban decay, highly pigmented, rich in pigment, smooth, buttery, and very easily blendable! Urban decay eyeshadows are my favorite, they have been for years, I have a lot of their eyeshadows, both palettes, and individuals, and can’t get enough for my collection. They are simply the best! The consistency of the quality of their shadows is unsurpassed!! I definitely think that if you can get your hands on this, you should give it a try. Try looking inside sephora JCPenny stores. HUGE Goodwill/ Thrift Shopping Haul!

Hello all the lovies, welcome to the blog today!! Boy do I have an awesome post for you all today!! Just like last month around this time, I have decided to share my awesome goodwill haul with you for the month of February. Also, again like last month (I will link it here) I have some amazing deals, and finds! Obviously I am a beauty blogger, so most all of this is beauty related! Sometimes when I find these deals, I can’t believe my eyes, I grab it so fast, because I know it’s a great deal! Part of the fun is the hunt, as I have said before, it’s like you are finding little treasures. I typically don’t find this much beauty/ skincare/ makeup items, but this month I scored for sure!! I was so excited for some of these finds! My favorites this month are marked below, but they include the Oh Joy pink swan, I can’t wait to hang it in my beauty room, the vintage drawer box, man this thing is so cool, it was covered in residue from cigarette smoke, I cleaned it up, and it’s perfect now, I don’t know how old it is, but it most definitely is beautiful, that will go in my beauty room as well, I couldn’t believe it was only $2.99, wow!! This was the only non Target donated item I found this month, everything else came from Target. Like I have said before, I am very thankful to have amazing goodwill’s in my city, I shop about 10 different locations on a regular basis, sometimes I find amazing stuff, sometimes I walk about with nothing. These hauls are an accumulation, but I go often, as I never know when they are going to have anything, or put it on the shelves! I also want to mention, I find, and purchase a lot more, that I don’t even show you 🙂 Sometimes, it’s to big of an item to take good photos of, or I want to use it right away, and I never show the clothes I get because it’s a pain to photograph, but I do share most of what I find as much as possible, because I think you all enjoy seeing! Thank you for the support, and if you think buying from Goodwill in any negative way, then please keep those comments to yourself, as I do not, and have been shopping, and saving thousands of dollars for years! And I would never buy “used” makeup, that’s just nasty in my opinion 🙂 These are my opinions, and I love shopping at goodwill, and am not afraid, or embarrassed what so ever, I highly recommend checking out your local goodwill, and thrift stores! Hi there lovies!! Welcome to the blog today! I bet you clicked on this post because you have seen pictures or spoilers of this new collection by Estee Lauder! This is the new Bronze Goddess collection for 2017!! Again, I had seen pictures on trendmood1 on instagram, and knew that this had to  be in my makeup collection. My gosh it is stunning, such a beautiful work of art!! This is a highlighter, and omg gorgeous! It literally is so shiny, it’s almost like pure gold! I was very lucky in that, I just happened to be at Nordstrom, and asked them if they had any in stock, and she said she was almost sold out, so she grabbed one for me. I was so excited that I actually had one in my hand! I then went over and immediately swatched the one they had on display! I literally barely touched it, and it was like I was touching gold, liquid gold, liquid pigment, liquid butter!! This highlighter is in the gelee formula, which means it is very soft, almost gel like in texture, hint the name gelee lol! It is so luminous, and sparkly, I really couldn’t believe it! A highlighter doesn’t get much better then this, I said to myself! Wow, I was amazed!! Okay, so I do have to admit something, this is my first actual beauty/ makeup product from Estee Lauder, I do have a few products from the Estee Lauder, Estee Edit collection though, and love them! I will link the review of the Estee Edit Palettes down below, the formula on those were amazing as well, definitely a must have. I think Estee Lauder as a brand is really trying to push new, innovative products into the beauty world, aiming at the younger crowd, which I think is pretty great! No, I unfortunately do not consider myself the younger crowd, as I am 35, but the shade selection, advertising, etc, of Estee Lauder are really focusing on that right now in my opinion, to get more types, and ages of women (and men) to use their products! I was excited to have this in my hands! Such a hot item, I got lucky! These are selling out SO fast, so if you want one, you have to be very quick!! They are coming in stores soon like Nordstrom, and Macy’s, etc. so get it while you can before it sells out! It is absolutely stunning, and the outer packaging is to die for beautiful as well!! Such high quality, and attention to detail they put into this highlighter, or gold, as I like to call it!! I do want to mention that this is the number 2 to the original bronze goddess heat wave highlighter, I do not own the first one, but from pictures, and swatches that I have seen, they are similar, but the number 1 original was more matte, as in not as shimmery, or sparkly. It was gold, just less shimmer. This one however, is VERY gold, and over the top sparkly, and shimmery, much like how I picture a gold bar! Sorry, I can’t compare the 2, but I sure would like to own the number 1 original one as well. Enjoy the beautiful pictures, and swatches!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in “Prismatic Amethyst”

 

Hi there lovies!! Welcome to the blog today, maybe you are new here, or a long time follower, regardless hello, and welcome, I hope you visit often, and enjoy my blog! Today I am posting a brand new product that has just came out, okay maybe it’s not even out yet, but it is to me so far (I am a VIB Rouge) at Sephora, so I was able to purchase it online, yeah!! Let me introduce to you the newest product from one of my favorite beauty brands Becca!! Becca as you may know has the best highlighters hands down in my opinion. I saw some sneak peek pictures of this on Trendmood1’s instagram, and omg did I get so excited? I am obsessed with anything purple, or pink, and holographic. I knew this would be mine, lol!! I couldn’t contain my excitement, as soon as I saw that it was available to purchase for me, I jumped on it!! I was literally living for this highlighter from Becca!! The highlighter is $38, and available at Sephora.

I just got it in the mail yesterday, opened my package, and it is absolutely gorgeous, for real gorgeous, almost to beautiful to touch, but I will for you guys maybe, lol! The packaging outer box is completely holographic, my eyes were instantly in love!! I opened the box, and found this beautiful, shiny silver, and light purple packaging, Becca’s packaging reminds me of space saucers, anyone else? 🙂 This is a pressed highlighter with the special edition packaging, much like the rose gold edition highlighter, and has the same diamond, criss cross pattern, on the powder itself, like an imprint, I wish they would have done something different though, just to switch it up a little, and make this one different, but that’s okay. What a beautiful, highly pigmented highlighter, I knew that it was perfect for me, and my skin tone, but I do have to be real here, did I really think I would use it? Would it just sit in my makeup collection? Well, the answers to those questions are I don’t know, but I hope I will use, and love it!! It’s so different, it totally reminds me of the new alchemist palette by Kat Von D, which I love, but don’t use much unfortunately. Hopefully on my feeling bold days, I will use them both! I am really glad that I purchased this, you can purchase it HERE @Sephora  as well, and as soon as it becomes available to everyone, and in stores, definitely recommend it. It is exactly like other pressed highlighters that I have tried, and own from Becca, very light in touch, and application, highly pigmented, buttery soft, and buildable. I love Becca powders, and products in general. They are always superb quality, and last a very long time! The colors are suitable for most skin tones as well. I recommend this one, if your looking for the colored highlighter look, it’s the perfect shade of purple, just for a pop of color on your cheek bones. I can’t wait to experiment with it more!! 🙂

Elf Cosmetics Makeup Haul!

Hello Lovies!!! Happy Friday, happy weekend! Yeah, today has been crazy busy with work, so I am just now writing, and getting this blog post up for the day! I am still playing catch up on blogs, so bare with me! I recently was in Target, and saw a huge end cap full of new e.l.f. makeup, and beauty products. Some of you may remember me receiving the e.l.f. voxbox from influenster (I will link it below, if you would like to check it out) I did a full review on a variety of new products that not only were new product from e.l.f., but some old ones as well. I was so impressed with the quality, and shades, that I decided I wanted to try some more products from the brand! I couldn’t resist the end cap I saw, it was beautifully displayed, and pretty much wanted it all, because it is all so affordable! I held back, and only picked up a few items that I have been dying to try from e.l.f. cosmetics! I love their prices the best, I really wanted to put a few of these products to the test, I don’t think all of them are necessarily new, but they were new to me, and products that were only offered online up until now, so yeah, for having them in store at Target!! So great, and easy for me to just grab! Like I said, a lot of these products up until now were only available on the e.l.f. website, and this just makes it so much easier, since I (we) can now just pick them up at Target!
