Hi there lovies, I know it’s been a while, it’s been a super busy summer thus far, so I just have to make time for blogging, I’m sure you have all had times when you just need a break, well I had a good one, and a good amount of time off, now I am back hopefully 🙂 although, I am not making any promises, but I hope to get back into blogging, because you are all still here, reading, and supporting me, so thank you so much! I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your summer, wait it’s July already? How did that even happen!??? Wow, slow down summer, I patiently wait all year for you, so please slow down, so I can enjoy you more 🙂 I am doing some traveling, and exploring this summer, so maybe I will switch the blog up a bit, and do some travel blogs, I think that’s a great goal, since I am going to some pretty amazing locations this summer, and as always right here where I live in Oregon, is always amazing too! 🙂

Let’s jump right into what I thought of this month’s box. Sephora Play box is a monthly subscription box, that is $10 a month, which includes shipping. It’s a great box for beauty lovers, if you love samples, and want to try out new products! I have found some great products that I wouldn’t normally think to try in these boxes, love it! I also want to mention (although I always forget to use mine) there is a 50 bonus beauty point card with any purchase that is included every month, which is a great incentive to go out and shop lol! But, I always forget about it sadly! Anyways, what did I think about this box? I thought it was okay, definitely not the best I have received, but not horrible, and the sample sizes are decent, but SO many hair products, I don’t really ever use hair products, so I was disappointed in that for sure, I want MORE makeup, I mean come on, don’t we all? I do love the KVD liquid lipstick though, it’s almost to bright, like unwearable bright, but I do love the formula, so maybe on occasion I could try this one out, it’s a pretty purple color, and there is not a better formula on the market that even comes close to KVD, but obviously I love everything by the brand, so that’s never an issue, lol!! So overall, this month’s box, was just okay, I hope next month for July will be better, and include less hair products! What did you all get in your box? I am always interested in what everyone else gets, because everyone’s boxes are different, well, I think there are about 4 or 5 different variations. Mac Cosmetics “Fruity Juicy” Pearlmatte Face Powder Review

Hello hello lovies! Welcome to the blog today, I am pre writing blogs, but I am writing this, and dreaming of where I will be in a few days, yep, I will be laying poolside in Las Vegas, I am so excited to be going again so soon, yeah for pool, and Vegas time. It’s only been a month since I was there, but it is calling my name again, so I am pre posting because as this is posted I will be at the pool on Monday morning, yeah! It’s okay really, you can be jealous!! This is the perfect blog post for the moment that’s for sure, but honestly I am not bringing it, I am to scared of it getting broken!! LOL, for real though! Anyone who knows me, knows I will always be a beach girl, I was raised in Florida, now living in Oregon, yep, opposite coast, still a beach girl, always will be. I have always loved hibiscus flowers, have a tattoo on my foot, because I am that in love with them!! I grew up with hibiscus flower bushes in my front, and back yard. I am so excited to see them by the pool at the belliagio, we always stay there, and there is hibiscus bushes by the pool, I am really hoping that they are blooming right now!! Anyways yes, I truly love them, so when I saw sneak peeks, I freaked out, I mean this was MADE for me. I actually a few years ago, bought on eBay the “surf baby” collection highlighter/blush that was brand new in the box, and I was so lucky to have it, as I am definitely a mac collector, I still haven’t ever used it lol, with that collection the gold hibiscus flower is just a spray over sadly, so I haven’t wanted to use it. This powder however, is not a spray over, it’s actually indented product of different colors in the compact, which is awesome! I love the packaging on this as well, it’s so tropical, bright, and beautiful, I also love the shiny black as well, although, I do feel like they could’ve done better, like have bright coral, or pink packaging, but that’s okay, I still love it. This powder is a pearlmatte finish, and is the perfect combination when swirled together, my darn ocd makes it very hard for me to mess up the beautiful hibiscus flower design, so the photo below of the swatch isn’t mine, just to let you know. There are many other products to the collection as well, this was just the only thing that I HAD to have, so it was the only piece from the collection that I purchased from Nordstrom. It retails at $33, which is typical of a normal mac cosmetics facial powder. The pan size is large, and it will last for a long time. The collection is called fruity juicy collection, most of the collection is still available online, and in stores, but it is selling out quickly, so I would act quickly if you want anything! It’s such a fun collection, I am so glad that I have this face powder full of hibiscus flowers in my makeup collection! Thanks for reading, were you able to purchase anything from this collection?

Urban Decay Vice Special Effects Long-Lasting Water- Resistant Lip Topcoat “White Lie” Review

Hello lovies! Happy Saturday, I have been wanting to switch up my posting days, since I don’t really have a strict schedule, I would love to know your thoughts on this, and what you think, I won’t be changing the time that I post them, because I feel like 8 AM PST is a good time for everyone, but who knows, please let me know what you all think, I would appreciate some constructive feedback. Thank you! Okay, let’s get right to the blog post today. As you can already guess, this has been sitting on my “to do” list for a while now. I actually bought it right when it launched. I was super excited about it, because as a lot of you know, I am seriously obsessed with anything translucent, iridescent, shiny, opal like, oh you know, all the pretty things, lol! I thought this was such a cool product, new, innovative, and I had to have it! I at least had to have 1 of the 12 shades, and this shade was the only one that I wanted, funny, I would like a few more, but I knew this one was for me. It is absolutely beautiful!! I mean, just for the glitter alone, the colors, and the effect that it provides is so worth it! The lip topcoats retail for $18, and are available where Urban Decay is sold. I purchased mine at Macy’s! I think the retail price is pretty reasonable for the amount of product you get. I feel like because this is a top coat, that it will last for a long time, because with this product, you don’t need much, and a little goes a long way! By applying this top coat, it completely transforms any lip color, or lipstick, and makes it look totally different, I really think it’s such a fun, and innovative new product! I have seen topcoats before, but this is definitely more glittery, and really changes the look! This is perfect for a night out, from going from a day to night look, and just so fun! IT is shade shifting, and gives a duo chrome effect on the lips, without being over drying, it dries down, and melts perfectly into the lip color that it coats. I do have a complaint though, I don’t like the applicator brush, it makes the product clump together, and get chunky, which does goes away once it is applied to the lips, but it could’ve been more thought out, and designed better, I do however love the packaging, and the product is great, I know other’s haven’t enjoyed it, but I do like it, and think it does exactly what it was intended to do, which is transform your lips, and give a completely different look to them, while maintaining moisture, and smoothness. I think you should give it a try, I think you will love it as much as I do! I always love Urban Decay products, and some of them are my absolute favorite!! Thank you for reading!

Algenist REVEAL Concentrated Luminizing Drops Review in the color **rosé**

Algenist REVEAL Concentrated Luminizing Drops rosé review, hello there lovies, let’s jump right into today’s blog post!! Let me tell you, it’s a pretty one, and the pigment is incredible as well, so so beautiful!! So, I am first going to say, that I got these at a discount, thankfully, I paid $14.99 for this, it is full size, and was brand new in the box! I found it at Marshall’s! I have found TONS of the Algenist line at Marshall’s, and TJmaxx in the last month or so, amazing deals, literally half the price of retail, I have picked up a few of the makeup products, this being one of them, and have really been loving them so far, so I thought I would do a review for this one, since it’s my favorite, and SO beautiful! My Marshall’s only had 1 of these, so I had to grab it! I was excited, because I have a sample size of this, and have tried it, and knew it was an awesome highlighter/ illuminizer! This comes in 3 different shades, the one that I was able to purchase is in the shade Rose, yes it’s gorgeous, and a must have in my opinion! It is so versatile, and is very light in formula, and I love putting just a little on the tops of my cheek bones, it gives the perfect amount of shine, and shimmer, but still remains light, not overpowering, without the chunky glitter look. Also, a little of this goes a long way, so this bottle will last for years I am sure! Tarte Cosmetics: Make Believe In Yourself Collection Haul

Hello all my beautiful lovies!! Happy weekend, I hope you are all doing well, and having a lovely weekend, even though it’s the end, lol! Sorry about not posting this week, I didn’t really mean to not post, it just kind of happened, life I guess! I am playing a bit of catch up with everything, and today I have a fun post, that I have been meaning to get up for a while, sorry it’s late, but still relevant for sure. I feel in love with this collection the second I saw it, even when it wasn’t even available yet. I love it all, seriously everything is SO beautiful, I wanted the entire collection, but just ended up purchasing most of them 🙂 I couldn’t resist, the packaging, and rainbow, unicorn design is EVERYTHING! I knew I had to have at least the brush set, and the eyeshadow palette, because they are just a must have in my book, and were screaming my name, definite must haves! Tarte Cosmetics is one of my favorite brands, always have been, and have many of their products, including about every blush they have lol, for real though, I love everything Tarte! Let’s jump right into the haul, I didn’t do swatches this time, because their are already so many online, so I mainly just wanted to share my haul, and what I got from the collection with all of you, let me know if you got anything from the make believe in yourself collection, and how you like it! I am loving everything so far, my favorite it is the brush set, the unicorn handles and colors of the bristles are just so pretty, love them, they are absolutely stunning, and are very high quality! My other favorite is the eyeshadow palette, I am obsessed with metallic shades, so I knew I would love these, they are very pigmented, but my only complaint is that they don’t transfer well to the eyelid with a brush unfortunately, it’s almost to powdery of a formula, you really have to layer up a bit to achieve the pigmentation, which is a bummer, because you have to use a lot of product. I do LOVE the lights, camera, lashes mascara, it’s always been a favorite mascara of mine, this limited edition holographic packaging really gives me life, I can’t stop starring at it, it lengthens my lashes, and adds volume, love this mascara formula! I recommend at least getting the mascara, just for the formula, and beautiful packaging! 🙂

Origins “My Perfect World” Launch Event in Portland, Oregon for Influenster

Hi there lovies, and welcome to the blog this fine Monday morning! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, and end to your week last week. I was very busy working, (playing mommy for 5 days to a year old baby girl) Very fun, but I am exhausted!! I wanted to get a blog post up this morning to talk about a great event I went to on Friday night! As you may have heard, Origins was having an exclusive launch party (only in select cities, and locations) I guess I got lucky! I was one of the lucky ones, that literally was having one of the launch parties in my city, yeah! I was notified of it by influenster, and getting into the origins vox box skincare line for the my perfect world launch party. Upon getting into the launch event, and influenster voxbox, they sent me a great selection of skincare deluxe size samples to try, which I was expecting full size, and actually expecting to get to try this actual skincare line, so it was odd that nothing from this new launch was included in the box that I got from influenster, I was a bit shocked, and disappointed, isn’t that what the whole point of the launch is so us “influensters” can try the actual product? Hmm, ya I was a bit confused, and definitely disappointed to say the least. I am grateful that they sent some skincare items to try yes, but it would have been nice to try these new launched products before the actual launch event, don’t you agree? Oh well, and of course I love them, lol, that’s just how it happens I guess! So let’s talk about the launch party, the way it was organized wasn’t very good, I got there right at 5, at the start time, and had a baby in tow, I was baby wearing her, because it’s a very small store, and she was being really happy, and good thankfully! So as this was a launch event, I believed it was going to be exclusively to influensters only, nope I was wrong, it’s like the people were not informed or something, some were, some weren’t. All of us women were in the store to do the same thing, some women stuck around, some did what they needed to do for the influenster badges, and left, I tried to mingle, and stay around, and chat with others, yes all while having a 12 month old 🙂 On the invite, it made it seem like there were going to be appetizers, drinks, etc. and nope, just tea, water, and mini cupcakes, also the free mini facials that you had to sign up for were supposed to be 20 minutes, umm ya, more like 3 minutes, again disappointed. Another huge disappointment was that they were sold out of the product I wanted, what I came for, they were offering a 20% off the entire store during the launch, so I really wanted the modern friction scrub in the full size, I love that stuff, and they were sold out, they only had the mini size, bummer, and let them know that I was disappointed. There were some fun aspects to the party, there was an artist who was doing charcoal sketches which was fun, he was talented, but I guess I should’ve smiled lol! There was also a tea reading, which I didn’t do because the reader was taking a very long time, but that would have been fun to do. I ended up getting 2 sample mask packs, upon checkout, I had to ask for samples, and the free journal they were giving out, because I saw others with it, I was like seriously? Anyways, all in all, the store, and the skincare is absolutely beautiful, but clearly, they had some work to do, and left disappointed, but not as I was expecting a lot more, especially since influenster made it seem like it was a huge deal, etc. I’m glad I went because I met a cool chick that had a purse full of lipsense, so I bought “praline rose” and “glossy gloss” on the spot, thanks paypal lol! I am SO excited I ran into her, because I have been dying to try it, and fell in love with the color, and staying power, so I did get lucky there! Glad I attended the party, and I hope more launch parties will be better in the future, but do love the new my perfect world skincare line. Check out the pics from the event!! 

Olay Sponge Dual Sided Body Cleanser

Hello lovies! Happy Friday to all of you! I am really trying to get caught up on blogs, so that they are scheduled, and that equals way less stress for me, so it will be a good thing!! I like to do a few posts at a time while watching a movie, so that’s what I am doing right now!! It makes it much easier, and for some reason it helps my mind flow, making my writing better as well, which is definitely a plus! I hope you are all having a good end to your week, mine has been, as always a busy one that’s for sure! Time just continues to fly by! 

I was at my local Target, and saw a really cool display, it was light and everything! I will post some pictures, because wow, it was pretty amazing, and really attracted me, and made me want to try this product, funny as that sounds! They were really trying to push this product at Target, and at Walgreens I have seen recently as well. They have a really cool display, and pretty much screams buy me, give me a try!! Lol! Their marketing, and advertising is on point for these! These new products come in 3 different types/ scents which are Old Spice, Olay, & Ivory. I only purchased one though, the Olay, because it smelt amazing, and had to give that one a try! 

This is a brand new product from Proctor & Gamble, the company who owns Olay. It is so innovative, and a totally new concept in body cleansing. I thought it looked so easy, and convenient to use, so I knew I had to give it a try. Let me tell you, the display, and packaging is pretty cute as well. It’s so new, and hip, a totally new concept to a body sponge. It’s a sort of all in one, scrub, clean, smooth, and hang to dry, sounds easy right? The scent is very strong, if you are not into strong scents, you will not like this. As soon as you open the plastic packaging, the scent becomes a bit overpowering, but it dissipates when you first use it. It lathers, and scrubs very well, all while maintaining a fresh, clean, flowery scent. It cleanses really well, your entire body, and rinses clean as well, with no residue left on the skin. I love the hanger, it’s rubberized, and comes apart, it can practically hang on anything, or anywhere, making it really easy to use! I have used it 10 times/days so far, I hope it lasts, because it’s a pretty cool product! It is expected to last for 30 days, I haven’t seen if it does or not. I hope it does though! I enjoy using it. The price is a bit expensive though, at $9.99, I most likely won’t repurchase it unless it goes on sale, for 30 days, I feel it’s a bit overpriced. Influenster Voxbox Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Review

 

Hello my lovies!! How are you all doing today? Happy Wednesday to all of you!! I hope your are all having a great start to your week!! This week is a slower week for me with work, so it will be nice to have the break, and have the opportunity to catch up on other stuff that needs to be taken care of, and on blogs, heck, maybe this week I will make a youtube video even, okay probably next week, or this weekend, and edit it, since I need to make one for this post anyways for influenster! This review is all about Influenster, and Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder! Laura Mercier is my all time favorite brand for translucent setting powders!!! They are launching more colors other then translucent, and influenster gave me the opportunity to test it out first for free, and completely complimentary!! I love influenster!! I was a little worried about this box though because I thought it was only introducing the new darker (for deeper/darker skin tones) powder, I was very happy that it was a box for multiple ones, and skin tones!!  I was excited that I got the translucent, because I was running low on my other one, and was going to purchase it anyways, and the powder puff, so this was perfect that I got into this one! Yeah for awesome, and high end Influenster voxbox’s finally! I have been getting so many drugstore ones, I was wondering if I was ever going to get a good high end brand one to review! Glad I did!! Anyways if you don’t know about Influenster, you definitely should, it’s an amazing review website that you join, and the more active you are on social media, and on the site, the more campaigns you will receive. I have gotten about 10 so far, and love them!! I definitely recommend joining, if you would like an invitation, I would be happy to send you one, just leave your email in the comments! My Review:

As I mentioned above, Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder is my all time favorite setting powder! I use it for setting my concealer under my eyes, and all over setting face powder. It works great, and leaves my skin looking flawless, without being cakey, and overly powdery. A little bit goes a long way with this product, and you do get a good amount, you get 1 oz. in the full size. It retails at $38, which is somewhat pricey for the amount of product, but it’s worth the price, and does seem to last a long time. This is available for purchase at where Laura Mercier products are sold like, Nordstrom, Sephora, etc. The setting powder that they are launching, and what this campaign is for is the colored translucent powders, as they are brand new to the Laura Mercer translucent loose setting powder family! Now it will perfect for many different skin tones. I do have oily skin, and a light complexion so I use the regular current translucent shade. This powder has a silky texture, smooth, and doesn’t sit into fine lines, and wrinkles, or my large pores. It lasts all day without needing a touch up, which is important for someone who is as busy as I am!! I love this powder, and definitely recommend it! Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection Miracle *Diamond Sponge* Review

Hello lovies, happy happy Wednesday to all of you! I hope your having a great half of the week day, hump day! We made it through half the week, lol!! Okay, I will keep it real, I am writing this on Sunday, lol trying to catch up on blog posts while I have a free moments, so Happy Sunday! lol! Busy, busy weekend for me! Lots, and lots of work, 3 days straight to be exact! Yikes, but it’s all good, I love what I do 🙂 Today’s blog is a good one! I searched high and low at 3 different ULTA stores to find this new sponge, the miracle diamond sponge by real techniques, and finally found it, yeah!! I wanted to get a review up quickly, because it’s pretty awesome, and beautiful as well! Hey, it’s always fun to apply your makeup with something beautiful right? I am a sucker for pretty things, and diamonds for that matter, after all, diamonds are a girls best friend!! 

I am a huge beauty blender fan, if you haven’t been introduced into the makeup sponge world, let me introduce you. I, at first was skeptical, but wow, such a life changer, seriously SO worth the money, the look you achieve with applying your foundation, and concealer with a beauty sponge is unlike anything you can achieve with your hands, or a brush! If you have never tried any type of sponge, you really should! Okay, so like I said I normally use beauty blender brand sponges, but I like to try new ones, especially ones that are much cheaper, because who doesn’t like saving money? If it works the same, why not spend less? In my opinion, there is no reason to spend more! So I have been a long time fan of the real techniques miracle complexion sponge, it applies my makeup just like a beauty blender does, and it’s so much cheaper! It’s literally 1/3 the price of a beauty blender! I love the flat angle to the sponge, it works really well at patting out concealer, and fits perfectly around my nose, and eyes. So, as you can imagine since I love the regular miracle sponge by real techniques so much, I had to try the new diamond one! The shape, and angles really interested me, I wondered how well it would really work. It is also very pretty, yep, I feel for the pretty factor of it!!! Their is a price difference though, the miracle diamond sponge is $9.99, and the regular miracle sponge is $5.99. All in all, considering I don’t think the price difference is to bad.

This sponge is beautifully packaged, and once you get it open, ps it was difficult to open, but I guess that is to prevent theft in the stores, so it makes sense. The sponge once wet, expands nicely, definitely get’s to a bigger size, and more soft, not to big, not to small, just the right size to hold in your hand. The different textures, and edges make my foundation, and concealer application look flawless, it provides a true airbrushed effect, just like with any beauty blender, or sponge application, without being streaky, or having brush strokes, which is nice!! The pointed tip gets right into my inner corner, and crevices of my nose, really blending out my foundation, and concealer without making it look patchy, or smeary. I enjoy this beauty sponge more than the original Real Techniques beauty sponge, but will continue to use both, and the variety, because I like to switch it up every now and a then for variety of application, etc. I definitely will be repurchasing this product again, when this one is done. The only negative thing about the miracle diamond sponge that it is awkward to hold especially when you use both ends, and it’s too pretty, lol, it took me forever to break into the packaging, and actually use, and review it for you all, because I didn’t want to mess up the grey/white marble color of the sponge! Ugh, the OCD in me was screaming lol! Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in “Prismatic Amethyst”

 

Hi there lovies!! Welcome to the blog today, maybe you are new here, or a long time follower, regardless hello, and welcome, I hope you visit often, and enjoy my blog! Today I am posting a brand new product that has just came out, okay maybe it’s not even out yet, but it is to me so far (I am a VIB Rouge) at Sephora, so I was able to purchase it online, yeah!! Let me introduce to you the newest product from one of my favorite beauty brands Becca!! Becca as you may know has the best highlighters hands down in my opinion. I saw some sneak peek pictures of this on Trendmood1’s instagram, and omg did I get so excited? I am obsessed with anything purple, or pink, and holographic. I knew this would be mine, lol!! I couldn’t contain my excitement, as soon as I saw that it was available to purchase for me, I jumped on it!! I was literally living for this highlighter from Becca!! The highlighter is $38, and available at Sephora.

I just got it in the mail yesterday, opened my package, and it is absolutely gorgeous, for real gorgeous, almost to beautiful to touch, but I will for you guys maybe, lol! The packaging outer box is completely holographic, my eyes were instantly in love!! I opened the box, and found this beautiful, shiny silver, and light purple packaging, Becca’s packaging reminds me of space saucers, anyone else? 🙂 This is a pressed highlighter with the special edition packaging, much like the rose gold edition highlighter, and has the same diamond, criss cross pattern, on the powder itself, like an imprint, I wish they would have done something different though, just to switch it up a little, and make this one different, but that’s okay. What a beautiful, highly pigmented highlighter, I knew that it was perfect for me, and my skin tone, but I do have to be real here, did I really think I would use it? Would it just sit in my makeup collection? Well, the answers to those questions are I don’t know, but I hope I will use, and love it!! It’s so different, it totally reminds me of the new alchemist palette by Kat Von D, which I love, but don’t use much unfortunately. Hopefully on my feeling bold days, I will use them both! I am really glad that I purchased this, you can purchase it HERE @Sephora  as well, and as soon as it becomes available to everyone, and in stores, definitely recommend it. It is exactly like other pressed highlighters that I have tried, and own from Becca, very light in touch, and application, highly pigmented, buttery soft, and buildable. I love Becca powders, and products in general. They are always superb quality, and last a very long time! The colors are suitable for most skin tones as well. I recommend this one, if your looking for the colored highlighter look, it’s the perfect shade of purple, just for a pop of color on your cheek bones. I can’t wait to experiment with it more!! 🙂
