Pixi by Petra Mist Collection Haul & Review #MultiMisting

Hi there lovies!! Happy Monday, I hope you are all doing well, and had a good weekend, and start to your week this week! I am super excited this week, because I took a little break, not sure how time flew by so fast, but it did, it really wasn’t a planned break, but I guess it happened! I had a great trip to Las Vegas, and it was amazing as usual, I am also going back in less then a month, yeah again! Life just gets busy sometimes, but need to be better about making blogging a priority! Anyways, today’s blog is a good one!! I am reviewing the Pixi by Petra Mists, Pixi by Petra was kind enough to send these beauties to me in PR to try out, and I am obsessed with everything Pixi, so I was excited to get to try out all the different formula mists, and for different uses! Gosh, I love these all, but I am going to focus my review on the Pixi by Petra makeup fixing mist, otherwise it would take me forever to review them all, lol! So let’s jump right into the review, I hope you all enjoy! 

Okay, let me just say that I have never tried a Pixi by Petra product that I didn’t love, this brand is what I call a high end drugstore brand. Yes it is a drugstore brand technically, but it is of higher quality, and are amazing products! This is available at Target, and Target.com, and on the Pixi by Petra website for $15, which isn’t super cheap, but I feel like for the price, you are getting a good amount of product! These are 2.70 ounces, which will last for a while, which is awesome! I also really love, and enjoy the way it pumps, and sprays. The mist is literally a mist, it is gentle, yet, sprays the right amount of mist to work! It makes my skin feel refreshed, and is gentle enough to use daily to set your makeup. It doesn’t spray out in heavy droplets, and won’t leave spots on your face, or ruin your makeup thankfully. This is a great way to set any beautiful makeup look, or just to use without makeup, if you need a refreshing, or if it’s a hot, and sweaty day. All of the Pixi by Petra sprays are for multiple uses, and can provide a variety of uses, to suit your needs. I definitely recommend trying any of these mists out, but especially the makeup fixing mist, as I really enjoyed the way that it worked, and fyi, I have acne prone, oily skin, so I do tend to get oily through out the day, and need my makeup to be refreshed, so it’s not cakey, and oily looking, this is the perfect spray for that, and is perfect for on the go! Hello, hello my beautiful lovies!! I hope you are all having a great Monday, and an amazing start to your day!! Today’s blog is a pretty one, thank you for joining me, and checking out my review. I am reviewing this Pixi by Petra, we are just going to refer to it as Pixi from now on in the blog just to make it easier on myself, lol. I was excited that I received this as PR from Pixi, they are the best, and I love all of their amazing products!! I really love getting packages from them, and feel very lucky! They sent me this beautifully cute 3 piece beauty kit, it is available at Target, and online at Pixi by Petra. This kit retails for $22.00, this kit is available in 2 different options, and collections, today I am reviewing the hello! Rose beauty kit, and it is part of their new collection, which is perfect for Spring! The kit was sent with real mini rose petals, their PR packages are the best, they really make an effort for packaging, and presentation! Opening the packaging it smelt like roses, such a bonus! This kit is perfect for any rose lover, the colors in the kit are so pretty, and pink, yet delicate, and will suite many skin tones, because of the light colors. I literally haven’t found a product that I don’t love from Pixi, they are hands down my favorite drugstore (high end drugstore) brand, I have been using, and loving their products for years!! This little kit is perfect for someone who wants to try out their products, without spending to much, etc. My favorite thing in this kit is the lip gloss, it’s the most beautiful shade of pink, it’s not to bright, or overpowering, it’s the perfect nude mauve, not sticky on the lips, and has a good wear time, and smells sweet, and glides on the lips effortlessly. I love this lip gloss, I will be getting it in the full size! I also really love the blush duo, the pink is subtle, and easily blendable into the skin, the highlight side of the duo is the same, and perfect for highlighting under the brow bone, or the cheeks, I used it for both, and love the color, and touch of bling it provides! This 3 piece beauty kit is defintely worth a try, as I am sure you will find a favorite, and fall in love with Pixi by Petra!

Milani “Keep It Sweet” Sugar Lip Scrub & “Keep It Sweet” Sugar Lip Treatment Review

Hello lovies, welcome to the blog today, I hope you are all doing well, and happy Friday, yeah it’s Friday already, I really can’t believe it, this week sure has flown by! I wanted to at least get 2 blog posts up this week, to keep up with goals, because last week was a bust, to busy I tell ya! I hope you are all looking forward to a relaxing, and enjoyable weekend! I also hope the weather is nice, and warm, and sunny for you, I sure hope it is for me that’s for sure, please sun, please come visit me, lol!! 

I have a fun post for you today, I was able to purchase this set from a private seller in a makeup group, because none of my local drugstores carry them, I knew they were releasing, and really wanted to give them a try, because I don’t own anything from Milani, and I am obsessed with lip scrubs, and treatments, so these were a must have, must try for me. I was so lucky to find them for sale, and she shipped them to me. I got them a while ago, and am just now getting around to trying them, and OMG I am in love, I will definitely be purchasing these again when they run out. These retails for $10 each, and are available at drugstores, although Milani does go on sale from time to time, so they do go on sale. These are both hard to find as I know, and when they are restocked, they do sell out quickly, because they are quite popular, and everyone loves them, and I can see why! I love both of them. They smell so sweet like vanilla cupcakes, no joke, or like frosting, the scent is amazing, and isn’t over powering, or to strong. My lips in the winter get very dry, and cracked, and I am always looking for a good lip scrub, and treatment, I use both of these products now 2-3 times a week, and it is really helping to not only exfoliate my lips, but truly moisturize them as well. I think purchasing both was the smartest idea, because using the combination really seems to work the best, although I do use just the lip treatment on it’s own throughout the day as well, and enjoy it on it’s own, it keeps my lips supple, and juicy feeling, much lip a balm, but a thick balm, so it’s really a treatment. This especially works well overnight, it’s my favorite, and lives on my nightstand! It’s a must have in my opinion, and definitely recommend it! Milani is a great brand, and has a lot of great products, I would love to try more now! Let me know if you have tried either of these, and how you like them! Wet n’ Wild New Products Haul & Swatches

Hello lovies!! I have a fun blog post to share with you all today!! I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your day, and are ready for the week, I will be busy as usual, but I am getting caught up on blog posts so that’s good!  I have been accumulating these for a while now, picking up some here, and there, and have been loving everything Wet n’ Wild lately, they are really stepping up their game, and coming out with amazing new products in the past few months, and continue to roll them out with their new collection for Spring, (I am waiting for the highlighters to come in, then I will do the review) anyways, this blog post is about the products that I have currently, and have recently bought, so let’s jump right into it! It’s a lot to cover, and this blog is only a haul blog post, with swatches, so I didn’t want to make it to long. Thank you for reading! Check out all the pictures 🙂 My favorite products  from this haul are definitely the liquid lipsticks, and the foundation! The pigmentation, and coverage of the foundation is amazing, it applies to the skin like a high end foundation, I highly recommend it, for the price, OMG it’s amazing!! I also want to mention that the liquid lipsticks are just as amazing as a similar packaged brand….. um yes just as good as that brand, for a fraction of the price, I swear it’s the same formula, and packaging!! The nude shade is my favorite! Definitely get your hands on these amazing new Wet n’ Wild beauties!

Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer & Blush Review & Swatches

Hello all my lovies!! How are you all doing today? I hope your having a wonderful start to your day, and are smiling!! Thank you so much for coming to the blog today to check out my review for the Physican’s Formula Butter Bronzer, and Blush! I was finally able to find these at my local Rite Aid store, they also have them at Ulta, Target, and other stores I have began seeing as well. The bronzer isn’t necessarily new, but the blush it, so I didn’t own either, so I figured I would just get both to review for you all. I also got them on sale for buy one, get one half off, so that was definitely a bonus, and reason to buy both, why not right? These drugstore products, like anything from the brand Physician’s Formula aren’t cheap, they retail for $14.99 for the bronzer, and $12.99 for the blush. The blush is a smaller size as well. They do go on sale, so just keep a look out for that! Let’s get right into my review! 

My Review: 

Alrighty, so you all know that I am not a huge fan of drugstore makeup, but I am trying more, and more trying to get a variety of products, and brands for review. So, I just wanted to start off by saying that, and be upfront, and honest on that. These are actually my first Physican’s Formula products ever, lol, I know, I know, that seems ridiculous, but it’s true. I am a high end makeup kinda girl, I can’t help it. So for blogging purposes, I am stepping out of my comfort zone. I feel like this brand is one of the better drugstore brands, and have high hopes! As I mentioned above these retail at $14.99, and $12.99. I feel like for those prices, they should be bigger pan sizes, but I think most of the cost went into the packaging. The packaging is cute, and practical with the included sponge, but it’s very bulky, and the sponge is useless really. I don’t know who uses those anyways! I do like the rainbow packaging, and the imprint on the pan, but the pigmentation is HORRIBLE!!! As you can see in the swatches, there is barely nothing visible, I even built those swatches up 3 times, adding more, and more product, but as you can see, there still wasn’t much color, or pigmentation. I am used to color, saturated color, high impact color, buildable color, but these were none of those unfortunately. I really had high hopes, but these are pretty bad, and don’t show up at all on my skin, even when I applied them to my cheeks, still nothing. What a bummer, because for the price, it should. The only positive thing that I can say about these are the formula. I think the formula is very buttery, and soft, and they do blend well, but the color pay off is terrible. Sorry to post negative things, but I am being honest. Thank you for reading, please let me know your thoughts, and if you have tried these. I don’t recommend these, and most likely will be returning them sadly 😦

Elf Cosmetics Makeup Haul!

Hello Lovies!!! Happy Friday, happy weekend! Yeah, today has been crazy busy with work, so I am just now writing, and getting this blog post up for the day! I am still playing catch up on blogs, so bare with me! I recently was in Target, and saw a huge end cap full of new e.l.f. makeup, and beauty products. Some of you may remember me receiving the e.l.f. voxbox from influenster (I will link it below, if you would like to check it out) I did a full review on a variety of new products that not only were new product from e.l.f., but some old ones as well. Burt’s Bees Flavor Crystal Lip Balm Review

Hello lovies, welcome to the blog today!! Yeah for Friday, Happy Friday ya’ll!! This has been a crazy week, with not much sleep, damn insomnia has kicked in overdrive this week, I am barely functioning at work right now 😦 Anyways, I am glad it’s the weekend, but it will be busy as well, so I wanted to make sure that I get some blogs wrote, and accomplished! I am definitely trying hard to post 3-4 times per week, so far, so good! Wish me luck!! I am making it a priority now, since I am getting such wonderful responses from all of you, it seems like you are all enjoying it! I have a fun little blog post for you all today, I wanted to purchase this new lip balm from Burt’s Bees ever since it launched, and it’s been a challenge thus far finding it, but I saw a super cute display, and wanted to get all 3, but I controlled myself, lol!

I am a huge Burt’s Bees fan, have been for years now, LOVE their lip balms, I have so many, I think I have every flavor, no joke, who’s with me on that? I am obsessed, so when a new product comes out, I am so interested in trying it! I am so glad I came across the display, and man is it cute or what? I stopped in to my local Rite Aid, and found them, yeah! I was pretty excited. They come in 3 different flavors, Red Raspberry, Tropical Pineapple, and Sweet Orange, they all sound yummy, and smell amazing! I may end up getting all of them, we will see, I didn’t love the formula though, so I’m not sure if I will. Have you tried it yet? What do you think? 

My Review:

Okay, let’s jump right into my review, the price of these are $3.99 each, which I think is fair for a lip balm at the drugstore. Let’s talk about the super cute packaging!! I think it’s great, and they nailed it aiming for the younger, or older crowds alike! I love the bright colors, and the theme! I noticed at first application of this lip balm (I got the Red Raspberry flavor) that it wasn’t like their normal formula, I was expecting burst of flavor from the crystals, I didn’t get that all, I think that’s all marketing, crazy as that sounds. I also had to use a lot of product, yes my lips were dry, but I had to go over my lips like 5 times!! That’s a lot for a lip balm, it just didn’t glide on well at all, the flavor, and scent was nice, I could lick it, but that’s not really the purpose of a lip balm. I found the formula to be a little drying actually, and didn’t last on my lips at all sadly. I don’t think I will be purchasing anymore, but will remain a fan of Burt’s Bees for sure!!

My Review:

Let me start by saying, I have had these for a few weeks now, they have been backed up in my “to blog” pile, yep, I have one of those, funny to admit that :). I bought them at Walgreens right when they launched, and became available. I saw the display, it was completely full, so I knew they had just been put out, because at my local Walgreens new makeup goes very fast, so I got my fair share of what colors I wanted, yeah! So I decided to pick up these 2 because they were perfect colors for me, I am a nude girl, I do admit! I felt like these 2 were unique, and so pretty! The shade range in these are pretty wild, and bold in my opinion, definitely couldn’t pull off most of these colors, lol. I was surprised when I opened them because I was expecting a sponge type applicator from the tube, kind of like how the Too Faced melted are, but to my surprise, nope they have a doe foot applicator, which I was very happy about. It’s unique, and a sponge tip applicator with a little hole, or divit in the middle, and holds the perfect amount of product for a full application. IT’s so highly pigmented that you really only need 1 dip of the wand applicator into the tube. They truly are like paint, they glide on very smoothly, and the texture isn’t sticky at all! It applies as a kind of wet look, and remains that way, a very wet type liquid lipstick in my opinion, definitely not matte. I really do enjoy these, and the color remains for hours, it is kind of staining though, like I said VERY pigmented, and full of color! I do want to mention that. I think these are a must have, really glad I picked them up!

Pixi by Petra Beauty Skincare (new products launching at Target)

Hi there everyone!! Happy Friday!! This week has been crazy busy, and I am so tired, my thyroid has been acting up, ugh I feel like I did last December when I was diagnosed with the thyroid disease hashimotos. I have no energy I tell ya, and just so incredibly busy with work, and life this time of year doesn’t help either. I have so much to catch up on, I am looking forward to the weekend. I feel like I am barely hanging on, making it through, I can’t believe it’s Christmas in 2 days, December never has enough time in it, I still have tons of wrapping to do! Anyways, my skin has definitely taken a back burner, which is sad, because I know it only takes a few additional minutes to do the proper skincare, but those extra minutes is sometimes difficult to find. I have been in desperate need of some skincare love, and new products to try. My skin is so different in the winter, I normally have oily, acne prone skin, but in the winter it becomes dryer, and needs more moisture, I loose the suppleness because it gets so dry from the cold weather, and wind, and rain for that matter. It gets frustrating trying to figure out the right skincare routine, and what will  really work. Who is with me on this? Why can’t our skin just stay the same? I would be perfectly happy with that, at least the skin on our face, lol! I guess we just gotta deal with the changes the best we can, and live with it! 

I was so excited to receive this amazing package from one of my favorite drugstore brands Pixi by Petra! I have been a huge fan of this brand for years, and have many of their makeup, and skincare products. They make the best products I have found at the drugstore, and are exclusively available at target, which means they are affordable! The prices are a little more then typical drugstore brands, I like to think of them as the luxury drugstore brand, anyways you know what I mean. My favorite product from the brand is their endless silky eye pen eyeliner. It is so smooth, and glides on perfectly, could go on forever about how great they are, I have every color!! I highly recommend them, so worth the money, and the colors are highly pigmented, and beautiful! This blog post is about skincare though, and my need of it, or maybe your need of it as well. Let’s check out what I got, and am currently trying out in my skincare routine! 

Beauty Sleep Cream $24

I have been using this entire routine for a week now, every day, and night. These individual products work perfectly together as a skincare routine. I recommend using them together for best results, as with any skincare routine, and brand, they work best when used together, they work as a team for your skin! The only thing I have or would add to this would be a serum, night moisturizer, and face wash. Pixi by Petra makes them as well, and although I haven’t tried them, I am sure they are amazing as well! My favorite product has to be the glow mist, I really like the spray applicator, it doesn’t spray to much, and seems like the perfect amount, which is important with fast mists. The sprayer has to work, not get stuck, and not spray to much, or worse, get in your eyes, right? This one is perfect, just the right amount dispenses, I use 2 sprays for my entire face, it will last a long time, because a little goes a long way. The ingredients are of superb quality, and the oils are rich, and make my skin feel hydrated, soft, and smooth. It provides the perfect boost for when your skin is needing a little love, or after your makeup as a setting spray, it really locks your makeup into place, and helps it last all day. All of these products smell good as well, I forgot to mention that. They smell so fresh, and clean, and you know they contain quality ingredients that are good for your skin! I am so thankful to Pixi by Petra, and can’t wait to try more of their products! I just purchased some of the holiday collection, so a review is coming soon on those, since I wasn’t signed up yet with them to receive them for review, but feel very happy, and lucky to have gotten these, so a big thank you to Pixi by Petra! 

Flower Beauty Translucent Powder Review

Flower Beauty: Translucent Powder $9.98

My review:

I love this translucent powder, my gosh, I am so glad that I heard about it. I have heard other beauty bloggers rave about this powder, but every time I tried to buy it, it’s so popular that it was out of stock, finally I found one, at my local walmart. Flower beauty is sold exclusively at walmart, I know it sounds kinda cheap, but literally this powder is just like, if not better then any high end translucent powder I have ever tried, yes even better then the coveted Laura Mercier translucent powder that is almost triple the price of this. I couldn’t believe some of the reviews that I was reading about how well it worked, and really set their makeup, I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical, but definitely was curious! The packaging on this is beautiful, yes it’s a bit large, and bulky, comes with a powder puff, but I recommend using a face brush, so you can really buff the product in, and blend.  Beautiful packaging, though like a high end beauty product, the only draw back is the sifter for the powder, it can get pretty messy, the holes are to big, and a lot of product comes out while using. It has a wonderful light, airy, and silky texture that really works. You only need a little bit to do the trick and it keeps down the shine for hours! It is translucent, so no color, but makes your face matte without caking up, or strange pigments. Although there is a bit of a flashback, like with a lot of translucent powders, which is to be expected, that’s why you just have to use a little, not a lot. It doesn’t look like anything is on your skin at all you just look like a healthier version of your own self, and gives you a subtle glow, without the shiny feeling. I think for the price, this is a great deal, and recommend it!
