Pixi by Petra Mist Collection Haul & Review #MultiMisting

Hi there lovies!! Happy Monday, I hope you are all doing well, and had a good weekend, and start to your week this week! I am super excited this week, because I took a little break, not sure how time flew by so fast, but it did, it really wasn’t a planned break, but I guess it happened! I had a great trip to Las Vegas, and it was amazing as usual, I am also going back in less then a month, yeah again! Life just gets busy sometimes, but need to be better about making blogging a priority! Anyways, today’s blog is a good one!! I am reviewing the Pixi by Petra Mists, Pixi by Petra was kind enough to send these beauties to me in PR to try out, and I am obsessed with everything Pixi, so I was excited to get to try out all the different formula mists, and for different uses! Gosh, I love these all, but I am going to focus my review on the Pixi by Petra makeup fixing mist, otherwise it would take me forever to review them all, lol! So let’s jump right into the review, I hope you all enjoy! 

Okay, let me just say that I have never tried a Pixi by Petra product that I didn’t love, this brand is what I call a high end drugstore brand. Yes it is a drugstore brand technically, but it is of higher quality, and are amazing products! This is available at Target, and Target.com, and on the Pixi by Petra website for $15, which isn’t super cheap, but I feel like for the price, you are getting a good amount of product! These are 2.70 ounces, which will last for a while, which is awesome! I also really love, and enjoy the way it pumps, and sprays. The mist is literally a mist, it is gentle, yet, sprays the right amount of mist to work! It makes my skin feel refreshed, and is gentle enough to use daily to set your makeup. It doesn’t spray out in heavy droplets, and won’t leave spots on your face, or ruin your makeup thankfully. This is a great way to set any beautiful makeup look, or just to use without makeup, if you need a refreshing, or if it’s a hot, and sweaty day. All of the Pixi by Petra sprays are for multiple uses, and can provide a variety of uses, to suit your needs. I definitely recommend trying any of these mists out, but especially the makeup fixing mist, as I really enjoyed the way that it worked, and fyi, I have acne prone, oily skin, so I do tend to get oily through out the day, and need my makeup to be refreshed, so it’s not cakey, and oily looking, this is the perfect spray for that, and is perfect for on the go! Pixi by Petra Beauty Skincare (new products launching at Target)

Hi there everyone!! Happy Friday!! This week has been crazy busy, and I am so tired, my thyroid has been acting up, ugh I feel like I did last December when I was diagnosed with the thyroid disease hashimotos. I have no energy I tell ya, and just so incredibly busy with work, and life this time of year doesn’t help either. I have so much to catch up on, I am looking forward to the weekend. I feel like I am barely hanging on, making it through, I can’t believe it’s Christmas in 2 days, December never has enough time in it, I still have tons of wrapping to do! Anyways, my skin has definitely taken a back burner, which is sad, because I know it only takes a few additional minutes to do the proper skincare, but those extra minutes is sometimes difficult to find. I have been in desperate need of some skincare love, and new products to try. My skin is so different in the winter, I normally have oily, acne prone skin, but in the winter it becomes dryer, and needs more moisture, I loose the suppleness because it gets so dry from the cold weather, and wind, and rain for that matter. It gets frustrating trying to figure out the right skincare routine, and what will  really work. Who is with me on this? Why can’t our skin just stay the same? I would be perfectly happy with that, at least the skin on our face, lol! I guess we just gotta deal with the changes the best we can, and live with it! 

I was so excited to receive this amazing package from one of my favorite drugstore brands Pixi by Petra! I have been a huge fan of this brand for years, and have many of their makeup, and skincare products. They make the best products I have found at the drugstore, and are exclusively available at target, which means they are affordable! The prices are a little more then typical drugstore brands, I like to think of them as the luxury drugstore brand, anyways you know what I mean. My favorite product from the brand is their endless silky eye pen eyeliner. It is so smooth, and glides on perfectly, could go on forever about how great they are, I have every color!! I highly recommend them, so worth the money, and the colors are highly pigmented, and beautiful! This blog post is about skincare though, and my need of it, or maybe your need of it as well. Let’s check out what I got, and am currently trying out in my skincare routine!

I have been using this entire routine for a week now, every day, and night. These individual products work perfectly together as a skincare routine. I recommend using them together for best results, as with any skincare routine, and brand, they work best when used together, they work as a team for your skin! The only thing I have or would add to this would be a serum, night moisturizer, and face wash. Pixi by Petra makes them as well, and although I haven’t tried them, I am sure they are amazing as well! My favorite product has to be the glow mist, I really like the spray applicator, it doesn’t spray to much, and seems like the perfect amount, which is important with fast mists. The sprayer has to work, not get stuck, and not spray to much, or worse, get in your eyes, right? This one is perfect, just the right amount dispenses, I use 2 sprays for my entire face, it will last a long time, because a little goes a long way. The ingredients are of superb quality, and the oils are rich, and make my skin feel hydrated, soft, and smooth. It provides the perfect boost for when your skin is needing a little love, or after your makeup as a setting spray, it really locks your makeup into place, and helps it last all day. All of these products smell good as well, I forgot to mention that. They smell so fresh, and clean, and you know they contain quality ingredients that are good for your skin! I am so thankful to Pixi by Petra, and can’t wait to try more of their products! I just purchased some of the holiday collection, so a review is coming soon on those, since I wasn’t signed up yet with them to receive them for review, but feel very happy, and lucky to have gotten these, so a big thank you to Pixi by Petra! 

Buddhibox Yoga Subscription Box September & October 2015 Unboxing & Review

Hey there! How is your week going so far? Well, I hope!! I have been a bit busy this weekend trying to catch up on everything, but have had some time to relax which is great! The time change is throwing me off though, I have to admit, as I am sure with all of you, lol! I am doing a double unboxing for buddhibox this month, and it’s still late at that unfortunately. I got so busy last month, I forgot to do the post for September, and it was a great box, so I am doing the double post so you can really check out what to expect from buddhibox! Hi there all my lovely readers, and followers, I hope everyone is having a great start to their week, yes I realize that I have been not great about posting, and today I am starting fresh, I gotta get back on track, I tell ya, time just seems to fly by, I have to start scheduling, and sticking to it! This box is a priced a little higher then I would like, but I am hoping that because they are a new subscription box, and are just getting the hang of things, that the value will increase, and get better. We are all looking for good quality, high end products, a lot of these featured in the box are hand made as well, which I love! I also know that we all like getting “a bang for our buck” and I am hoping with time they will improve that, that is my only issue with the box, hey I am being honest here 🙂 My favorite item in the box is both of the mineral eyeshadows, they are both STUNNING, and I am always a huge fan of “good for you” cosmetics, they are both highly pigmented, and very beautiful! I also can’t wait to use the toner, just the packaging is adorable, I love that it is “bare bones” and doesn’t include any harsh chemicals, so natural! Popsugar Must Have Unboxing & Review August 2015

Hi there loves, I hope you are all having a great start to your weekend, I hope you remember to take time to relax, I know it can be hard, but just try 🙂 I feel like the catching up never ends, I have GOT to be better about scheduling posts, and videos, seriously time just goes by way to fast, this summer was a busy one for me, and I can’t believe that the rain will be back, living in the pacific northwest is so damn difficult sometimes, we LIVE for summers! Okay let’s get to it, this month’s popsugar must have box was just okay for me, not my best box, not my favorite, but that’s okay, they can’t all be amazing, and have that wow factor. I love when makeup is included, and the preview for next month’s box contains an eyebrow palette from too faced, yeah finally some makeup!! I sure wish they included the new too faced vegas nay eyeshadow palette, I mean come on, everyone wants it! I am holding out for holiday sets, they are coming soon I can feel it, lol! The box contained a good variety this month, just nothing that really stood out to me, or wowed me I guess.

In this month’s box, I am most excited about the pancake, and waffle mix, I know that sounds bad, lol but it’s birthday cake flavored, umm yes please!!! Yum, I can’t wait to try them, I think I will make waffles, they will be so good! The scarf in the box, seems like a very thin, cheaply made one to me, I like that it’s soft, but the pattern seems like it’s going to be nearly impossible to match with anything, because of the blue, and pink together, I don’t know maybe it will be fine, where I live I need something thicker to keep me warm, and do the job. Ipsy Glam Bag August Unboxing & Review

Hi there lovies! I hope you are all having a great start to your day today! I am here with my ipsy unboxing, and review This seems to be an okay month for my ipsy bag, as you may have noticed lately, I am pretty much over ipsy unfortunately. I have continued to be disappointed with not only the product selection, but the way ipsy handles things lately. I will admit it has definitely let me down, especially this last month after dealing with a leaked product that ruined everything in the bag, then emailing to get it replaced to find out, they were out of stock on the one item I was super excited about, of coarse they were out of stock of the tarte bronzer, ugghhhh. So that was a huge fiasco, and frustration that I had to deal with, and customer service didn’t really seem to truly care, again very disappointing, so all in all, I think I have 2 more months of my pre paid year, then I am most definitely canceling after being a subscriber for 2 years. My bags have been so sub par lately, it’s not worth it for me to continue to be a loyal subscriber, I would much rather spend the $10 elsewhere, sorry just being completely honest here, not everything can be peachy, especially when I am continuing to be let down with my bags. 

Let’s get right into the bag for August, it wasn’t a great bag for me, honestly these products don’t even really wow me, or even fit my profile, yes I am continuing to be negative, I’m sorry, I will try and not be so, but it’s hard lol! Okay, I really like the bag that it all came in this month, super cute, I love houndstooth! The only product that I really was excited about was the nail polish from AILA it’s a beautiful color, and the formula is great, and long lasting, yeah! I definitely want to try out the moisturizer from eco beauty as well, I definitely gravitate towwards more eco friendly brands for my skincare, so this will be good, there just isn’t a lot of product in the pouch, packaging is deceiving! The rest of the items in the bag are just kinda blah for me, not the best, and I will likely be swapping, or passing them along to someone who will use them. Like I said with only liking a couple items, I don’t think it’s worth it to me to stick with ipsy, I know a lot of you will disagree with me, but for me, and my makeup likes, and dislikes, this bag just doesn’t fit anymore. Tester Tuesday TARTE eye cream & bb cream review!

Hi there lovies! I hope all of you are having a great start to your week! Oh Monday’s I tell ya, I got a bad case of that tonight as I am writing this, and have a super busy week ahead of me already, that’s how life goes though, so it’s all good 🙂 I decided, well I didn’t even think about it to be honest, I picked these 2 from tarte to sample, not even thinking they were both from the same brand, lol, oops, but I really wanted to give these both a try. I have been lazy with my skincare at night lately, I am so exhausted by the end of the day that I just want to go to bed instead of washing my face, and doing the whole routine, bad Renee, bad I know! My poor skin is paying for it, it’s been so hot here, and have the oiliest skin of life right now, so it definitely needs to be taken care of. Anyways, I still have been slacking on my blogging, so thank you for hanging with me while I am so crazy busy, I have so much to catch up on still, it’s nuts! What do you all think of tarte cosmetics? Tarte has always been one of my favorite brands, I can’t help it, love me some tarte! Let’s get right into the reviews! My review: 

There seriously isn’t a tarte product that I have tried, and not liked, no joke, it’s crazy! This primer BB cream is fabulous to use on it’s own as a normal BB cream not a primer, I really enjoy it this way. I didn’t love it as a primer though sadly. I actually just remembered that I have tried this over a year ago, when it first came out, I went to the release party at ulta, and the makeup artist tried it on me. I did like it then but didn’t think it was really necessary because she applied the amazonian clay over it, it kind of felt like it was doubling up on face coverage. I felt like it made my foundation very thick, which I normally use, and like full coverage foundation because of my severe acne scars, but this felt like way to much. I think that it’s a good formula but, most likely wouldn’t purchase the full size.

Tarte: Maracuja c- brighter eye treatment: $38

My review:

This eye cream is a good one, I have been testing a lot of new eye creams lately because I have been recently suffering from insomnia, and my eyes definitely are showing that. I am trying to find certain ones for morning, and night that actually work! I seriously hate when eye creams burn the crap out of my eyes, does anyone else have this problem? There is nothing worse then tired, burning eyes! So I was really excited to give this one a try because I love the maracuja oil daily under my moisturizer. I love that this has some natural ingredients, and is actually good for your skin, and under eye area. It is also formulated to make your eyes look smooth, and young. I don’t have crows feet, or many eye wrinkles yet (knock on wood) but my eyes definitely felt energized, and tighter after applying, and all through out the day. This treatment makes my eye puffiness, and tired eyes go away, which is great, it’s also a great pick me up, and makes my eyes look bright, and less tired. I would definitely purchase the full size of this, a little bit goes a very long way with eye cream so it’s great that you don’t need much product for it to really work.

Buddhibox vs. Yogisurprise (lifestyle & jewelry boxes) July 2015

Hi there lovies! I hope everyone is having a great start to their week, I have to admit I am definitely struggling this week, I haven’t been sleeping well, and feel like I have a never ending schedule, and to do list. Do you ever feel like that? I really need to get everything under control again, it’s not been fun that’s for sure!!! 😦

I know that I am super late on this review, and the video review, but it’s better late than never, it was a busy end of the month as always, and after this post I will be all caught up for July, yeah, feels great for now, until the end of August lol! Anyways I wanted to do another comparison for these two boxes because I feel like they are so similar, and it’s kinda fun to see what type of items are in each box, etc. This month though is definitely different than the boxes I compared in June, as one of these is the jewelry subscription box (yogi surprise) but, I still thought it was a good idea to compare. Buddhibox is actually just launching their very first jewelry subscription box as well in August, so this really is perfect timing for the review of both of these in reality, yeah for being late right?

Okay so both of these boxes are a monthly subscription service and, are pretty comparable as far as types of items, and price, along with retail values. They obviously vary a lot from month to month, but I think they are pretty equal, yet yogisurprise thus far seems to have more full size items included. I really do enjoy both of them, and honestly don’t know which one I like better! They both feature such younique, and special items, it’s difficult to choose a favorite. I think both of these boxes were great this month, which one did you like the best? My favorite item from the buddhibox was the candle, it is in the scent nag champa, and it totally reminds me of back in the day when I would burn incense, I love the smell, brought me right back that’s for sure! I always love candles though! My favorite from the yogisurprise is definitely the bracelet, the rose quartz is beautiful, and lotus flowers are my favorite!!! What’s New Makeup at Sephora 7/31/2015 (I made ROUGE)

Yeah it’s Friday, so you guessed it, it’s time for what’s new at sephora! I tell ya I still really love these posts, even though they are a lot of work, I love hearing your comments, and thoughts every week as well, so keep them coming! Makeup is so fun, it doesn’t get any better, because every Friday at 9 AM you can come to this post, and see what’s new, I do all the work for you lol! Okay did anyone get anything from last week that I mentioned? I didn’t get anything, I always place random orders, but it wasn’t any of these items 😦 Oh and……. I made ROUGE, wait what? Yep that happened lol, never ever thought I would see the day, wow I will do a post on that soon too, pretty cool, but not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing lol! Okay I did get the bite beauty opal lipstick, and lipgloss already, and OMG they are absolutely beautiful so worth it, I am working on a review coming next week on them so stay tuned because the swatches, OMG beautiful! MAKE UP FOR EVER: ARTIST PLEXI GLOSS~ $19 (COMES IN 35 SHADES)

MY REVIEW:

I REALLY LOVE THESE LIP GLOSSES! I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET A MINI SAMPLE OF THE COLOR IN THE MIDDLE PICTURE (202) AS WELL I JUST DIDN’T PICTURE IT, AND DIDN’T REMEMBER UNTIL NOW OOPS! BUT THIS FORMULA IS SO NON STICKY, APPLIES PERFECTLY TO THE LIPS, I LOVE THE APPLICATOR AS WELL, IT FITS PERFECT, YOU DON’T EVEN NEED A MIRROR TO APPLY IT! I THINK THE WIDE RANGE OF COLORS ARE BEAUTIFUL, THEY HAVE A PURPLE ONE THAT IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, BUT I COULD NEVER ROCK IT, LOL. THESE ARE DEFINITELY A WIN FOR ME, AND WILL BE PURCHASING SOME IN THE FULL SIZE IN THE FUTURE, THE COLOR RANGE, AND FORMULA REALLY IMPRESSED ME ON THESE, IF YOU LIKE ANY TYPE OF BUTTERY GLOSS, YOU WILL LOVE THESE! 

WHAT I AM TESTING: 

PETER THOMAS ROTH: ROSE STEM CELL BIO REPAIR CLEANSING GEL $38

What it is:
A regenerating facial cleansing gel with reparative rose stem cells, rose extracts, and glycolic acid to gently cleanse as it helps repair the signs of aging.

What it is formulated to do:

MY REVIEW: 

THIS CLEANSER FIRST OFF, SMELLS AMAZING, EXACTLY LIKE YOU WOULD THINK, LIKE SWEET ROSES! I FEEL LIKE THIS IS MOST DEFINITELY A HIGH END FACE WASH, I AM NOT SURE THAT I WOULD PAY THAT MUCH, I LIKED IT, BUT IT DIDN’T LATHER, AND FOAM LIKE I WANTED, YES THAT IS A BIG ONE FOR ME. I LIKE TO FEEL LIKE IT IS ACTUALLY WORKING TO CLEAN, AND REMOVE MAKEUP, AND CLEAN OUT MY PORES. THIS DID REMOVE MY MAKEUP WELL BY ITSELF, AND MADE MY FACE FEELING VERY FRESH, AND CLEAN, NO RESIDUE WAS LEFT BEHIND WHICH WAS GOOD. I LOVE THE WAY IT SMELLS, AND MAKES MY SKIN FEEL SOFT, AND SUPPLE, IT’S DEFINITELY GOOD FOR OILY/ COMBINATION SKIN LIKE MINE, I DON’T KNOW THAT I WOULD SPEND THIS MUCH ON A FACE WASH AS WITH THE PURITY I REVIEWED LAST WEEK.
