Okay okay, I literally just found the most perfect eyeshadow palette for me, okay it wasn’t, but I can think that it was, right? I am well aware of the makeup brand Urban Decay, and love my naked one, two, and three palettes, to name a few. I saw in Ulta, this past year an eyeshadow set/ palette by Urban Decay called, “Box of Shadow’s”, I thought it was absolutely perfect and beautiful. I am a HUGE butterfly lover, always have been, I even named my cat “Butterfly”, clearly I love butterflies. I did purchase the set/ palette, I got it home, and realized it just wasn’t for me. Upon first opening, the pull out drawers were very hard to pull out and would get stuff often, it was very frustrating. I think also that the set/ palette was way to big, where do you put such a thick large palette? How do you store it? Ya, that’s what I was thinking, just to big and bulky for one palette. It also contained a place for an iphone/ ipod with a speaker etc. that just wasn’t practical, yet it was cute, but felt it was a waste. Here is what it looked like.
“Box of Shadows” (no longer available) price unknown—-
About a week ago I was searching on ebay and came across another butterfly palette by Urban Decay that I didn’t even know existed. It is apparently from 2011, I knew it would be a challenge to find a brand new one or one that was unused. I put the words, “urban decay butterfly” in the search bar on ebay and found it! Most of the ones I found were used, and eventually I found a new one without packaging. I was seriously thrilled, I was SO in love with this Urban Decay palette, I just had to have it! So I purchased it from a seller on ebay, and am SO happy that I did! Here it is and am thrilled and amazed at how beautiful it is. I am so excited to add it to my collection and start doing looks with it. The colors are high quality and very pigmented as well. It is packaged in a high quality tin, although it is difficult to open, that’s the only thing I am complaining about. The colors of the Mariposa palette by urban decay are:
First row of 5 eyeshadows—- Rockstar, Gunmetal, Skimp, Infamous, Wreckage
Second row of 5 eyeshadows—- Haight, Money, Mushroom, Spotlight, Limelight
“Mariposa” (no longer available) price I paid was $24.99 plus $3.00 shipping—-
Front/Top of palette—-
Inside of palette—-
Swatches on hand of colors—-
Design, colors and names—-
